Dr. Martha Harris is currently the Director of the Xavier University of Louisiana Drug Information Center at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in New Orleans. Dr. Harris received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctorate in Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana. She pursed a career in hospital pharmacy at LSU Health Science Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans (formerly Charity Hospital). She is a licensed pharmacist registered in Louisiana.
Dr. Harris has an ongoing preceptorship in drug information through the Drug Information Center. She also teaches selected drug information topics in Introduction to Pharmacy and Pharmacy Skills Laboratory and Institutional Pharmacy in Pharmacy Practice Lecture and Lab. Her research interest is Health Literacy she was appointed to the Louisiana Interagency Health Literacy Task Force.

She has an Associate Degree in Business Administration, and has trained in various computer software operations and will continue training in computer operations. Cynthia assists the director with multiple tasks and operation of the Drug Information Center, also assist with Continuing Education.
