2015 Moon Festival Celebration

We are celebrating the 2015 Moon Festival at Xavier on September 25, in the University Center Ballroom. The event kicks off at 6:30pm, with light refreshments and moon cake tasting, followed by top Mongolian folk performances – “Wind from the Grassland”, which include dancing, instrumental art, and songs.

Our Mission

"Xavier University of Louisiana Confucius Institute, in partnering with Hebei University in China, is the first Confucius Institute among the nation’s HBCUs and in the State of Louisiana.  The Confucius Institute helps prepare students to become global leaders, and to teach Chinese language, culture, and economic development courses to Xavier students and the surrounding communities, including local groups, government agencies, and businesses.  It also aims to facilitate research activities in the above areas and promote increased understanding between the United States and China."
