Da Stoop - Xavier has its first radio station! Students rejoice in a step toward a student-operated radio broadcast.

National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) – is an organization of journalists, students, and media-related professionals that provides quality programs and services to and advocates on behalf of black journalists worldwide.

National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) - The National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. Membership in national NSSLHA is available to undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral students enrolled full- or part-time in a communication sciences program or related major.

Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) - The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. We seek to advance the public relations profession by nurturing generations of future professionals. We advocate rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles and diversity in the profession.

The Xavier Herald - The department is home of the Xavier Herald, the only newspaper from a historically black college that is included in the Associated Collegiate Press Hall of Fame. The Herald is a source for students and staff to find out about campus events as well as community news and events that affect the university.

Xavier Television (XTV) - This student-run operation broadcasts on the local cable public access channel. Students produce professional style telecasts during each semester. Such shows include: XU Factor, X-Cuse U, XTV News One, and Campus Connection.
