Chemistry Department
Xavier University of Louisiana
Students and Student Organizations

There are a number of organizations on campus that are especially
appropriate for Chemistry majors and minors. The Chemistry Department hosts
organizations that are run by and for students. Examples along
these lines include:
- The Beta Xi Chapter of Phi Lambda Upsilon,
the National Honor Society in Chemistry, remains the only chapter of Phi Lambda Upsilon at a historically Black college or university.
- The Chemistry Departmental Meetings are run by students.
- Here is the constitution of the Chemistry Club / ACS Student Affiliates.
- Chemistry majors and minors are eligible to join the Louisiana Eta chapter
of Alpha Epsilon
Delta, the International Premedical Honor Society.
- Many Chemistry majors and minors are also eligible to join Xavier's
chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the Biological Honor Society.
- Finally, you can learn here who won Departmental Honors for 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
