Xavier University of Louisiana and Delgado Community College are autonomous institutions located in the City of New Orleans, Louisiana. Although each of these institutions has its own distinct mission, a major commitment of each is to provide educational services to the people of the Greater New Orleans area. This common goal, together with geographic proximity, argues for close cooperation between the two institutions. It is in this spirit of cooperation that Xavier University and Delgado Community College enter into this general articulation agreement.

Delgado Community College and Xavier University of Louisiana do hereby agree that:

Delgado students who complete courses listed in this agreement and who meet all Xavier University admissions requirements shall be admitted to Xavier University and these courses will be accepted as Xavier course equivalents as specified on the attached pages.
Xavier University accepts transfer credits only for courses in which the Delgado student has earned a grade of “C” or better.
Delgado will, through its Student Services Division, make information about this articulation agreement and about procedures for transfer to Xavier University available to its students.
Delgado students who are within six semester hours of completing requirements for the associate degree may register at Xavier University and apply a maximum of six semester hours earned at Xavier to the Delgado degree. All such courses must be on the approved transfer list.
Each institution will encourage contact and dialogue between its faculty and the faculty of the cooperating institution.
This agreement will be subject to an annual review by a joint committee appointed for that purpose.
Modifications in the agreement - including the addition and/or deletion of programs - may be made based upon recommendations of this committee and approval by the Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs of the two institutions.
