In the spring and fall all New Orleans universities collaborate to offer two of the largest regional job fairs, the FALL CAREER EXPO and the Mardi Gras Invitational. We collaborate to hold an annual NOLA Teacher Fair which draws school districts from across the nation. We also offer students the opportunity to participate in several on-line career fairs (E-Fairs) during the academic year.
Youth Motivation Task Force (YMTF)/ Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP)
Each year the Office of Career Services sponsors the YMTF/BEEP program, which brings a team of successful African American professionals from various walks of life to visit the campus. For two and a half days, YMTF/BEEP team members go into the classroom to discuss with students the realities of the workplace and how students should prepare for their careers. This popular program has been in existence for more than thirty-five years.
Career Related Workshops
The Office of Career Services conducts various workshops to prepare students for the job search process. These include Resume/Interview Preparation, Business Etiquette, Navigating in Corporate Culture, Professionalism, Networking, and How to Work a Job Fair.
