Levon A. Bostanian, Ph.D., is Professor of Pharmaceutics in the Division of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences. He received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy and M.S. degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Ohio State University. He joined Xavier University of Louisiana as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics in August 1995. Dr. Bostanian’s accomplishments include a U.S. patent for small particle formation, several peer-reviewed publications, and numerous presentations at pharmaceutical conferences. Dr. Bostanian is a registered pharmacist and has practiced pharmacy for several years. He is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, the Controlled Release Society and the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Bostanian’s research interests are in preformulation and formulation of drug delivery systems.
