by Joe M. Ricks - Divison of Business Chair

Welcome to the Division of Business at Xavier University of Louisiana. The business program offers a number of dynamic and exciting programs for undergraduate students and prepares them well to take leadership roles in Corporate America. All academic programs offered by the Business Division are professionally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP, www.acbsp.org). ACBSP accreditation is based on a continuous improvement model and so you can see our performance measures you can access our last Quality Assurance (QA) report below the ACBSP logo on this page.
The Business Division offers programs in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Sales and Marketing. In addition, the division houses the Entrepreneurship Institute, a resource for all students who want to start their own business and we have a strong Business Advisory Council (BAC). Our BAC consists of corporate executives from companies, such as, Procter & Gamble, 3M, and Entergy, while others are entrepreneurs and have their own businesses. Many of our students receive internships and permanent job placement offers through networking with BAC members.
Some of the other strengths of our program are small class sizes and fully qualified faculty. The average class size is less than 20 students so there is lot of one-on-one interaction between the students and the faculty. All classes are taught by fully qualified faculty not by graduate students as in some bigger schools. The faculty members work hard to make sure that all students are successful. After all, we consider ourselves to be successful only if our students are successful.
Once again, thank you for visiting the Business Division's website. If you are a college bound student or his/her parents, I hope you will consider applying to Xavier University. Please come and visit our campus. I know you will like what you see here.
