Mark Quinn - Hilton Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship
Mr. Quinn is the Conrad N. Hilton Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Xavier University of Louisiana. He also directs the Xavier University Entrepreneurship Institute. Previously he served as Executive Director of the Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation, a certified Community Development Financial Institution of the US Department of the Treasury, which provides financing and entrepreneurial training and counseling. Mission
The EI Mission is to create a center of excellence in entrepreneurship within Xavier University. We believe that the entrepreneurial spirit is the key driver of sustainable business growth, and that the true ethos of entrepreneurship is in full alignment with the Xavier mission, in empowering all people to contribute to our society in positive, humane and lasting ways.
Our Core Aims are to:
- provide a key educational resource in teaching and mentoring our students in entrepreneurial theory
- develop entrepreneurial programs which empower our students to actively learn the core transferable skills of entrepreneurship and make real business contributions
- act as an entrepreneurial "hub" for the entire Xavier community providing key network connections, advice and entrepreneurship coaching
- become a nationally-recognized center of excellence in research, teaching and entrepreneurship initiatives
