Women's Cross Country Runners

EBONY HARDING 5-5 • 110 Sophomore Baton Rouge, La. • Baton Rouge High School BRIEFLY: Only newcomer on the 2006 women's roster . . . Prep teammate of junior Ashley Broden. 2005: Enrolled at Xavier as a freshman, but the school did not compete in athletics because of the effects of Hurricane Katrina. HIGH SCHOOL: All-parish in cross country her senior year (2004) after running three miles in 20:35.90 to finish 20th out of 192 runners at the Class 5A state meet . . . Member of the Lady Bulldogs' 2003 5A state-championship squad as a junior and ran two miles in 14:57.97 to finish 56th out of 198 runners . . . Ran two miles in 13:32.77 to finish 52nd out of 190 runners at state meet as a sophomore . . . Team finished second in the state out of 27 schools in 2002 and seventh out of 25 schools in 2004 . . . In track she finished fourth in the 1,600 as a senior (6:00.09) in the District 4-5A meet and was All-America in the 1,500 in the 2004 Junior Olympics . . . Also long-jumped.
