ALMA MATER
In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

2009 Rankings:
Xavier has yet to receive a vote in any of the national polls. The Gold Nuggets have been No. 1 in
six of eight GCAC ratings. (They were second on September 14 and October 26.) The November 2 conference ratings:
1, Xavier. 2, Spring Hill. 3, Belhaven. 4, Loyola. 5, Dillard. 6, Mobile.
2008 Rankings:
Xavier received a school-record 14 points in the preseason NAIA top 25 poll announced August 19

one point, and it came in the September 16 poll. The Nuggets were No. 1 in the GCAC rankings
six times during the season, including the final four.
They dropped to No. 2 in the rankings of September 29 and October 6.
