Next:
The Gold Nuggets await the start of the 2012-13 season in early November. It
will be the 35th season of XU basketball during the Title IX era.
Recruiting:
Whitney Gathright
of New Orleans and Andraquay Quinnine
of Elk Grove, Calif., are the Gold Nuggets' first two signees for 2012-13.
The Record:
Xavier in 2011-12 was 26-9 overall and 12-2 in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (regular-season champion and tournament champion).
Xavier was ranked 16th
in the NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll of March 26.
The Gold Nuggets were the only team to defeat a higher-ranked opponent in
the opening round of the NAIA Division I National Championship in 2011 and 2012.
All-America:
Senior center Keldra Hall received honorable mention on the 2011-12
NAIA Division I All-America team.

Three from Xavier — SiMon Franklin, Jasmine Grant and Keldra Hall — made the team in 2011-12.
Hall made the team for the second consecutive season, and Bo Browder is Coach of
the Year for the third straight season.

Xavier lost 58-43 to second-ranked Union (Tenn.) in the second
round of the NAIA Division I National Championship.

Of the 39 senior student-athletes to play for Bo Browder at Xavier during his head-coaching tenure, 38 received degrees from Xavier or are still enrolled.
Preseason Rankings:
Xavier was picked in a
preseason poll of
Gulf Coast Athletic Conference coaches
to finish first in 2011-12. In the NAIA
Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25, Xavier was ranked 16th — the Nuggets'
highest preseason ranking sine 2004.

2010-11 Rankings:
Xavier was No. 20 in the final NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll announced
March 9. The Gold Nuggets were ranked in every top 25 poll of 2010-11.
No. 1 Again:
The Gold Nuggets allowed a school-record-low 50.5 points per game and led NAIA Division I in scoring defense
for the second consecutive season. They also were No. 1 in three-point field-goal
percentage defense (.233), second in total steals (501), fourth in steals per game (14.7)
and fifth in field-goal percentage defense (.332).
Strength at Home:
Xavier has 122 victories in its past 130 games at The Barn, which opened in 1937.
Xavier is 246-20 at The Barn since the start of the 1992-93 season.
In conference games at The Barn the Nuggets have won 22 straight, 34 of their last 35 and 66 of their last 68.
Conference Success:
Since the start of the 2009-10 season the Gold Nuggets have won 44 of their last 46 games against GCAC opponents.
During that time they are 36-2 in the regular season against the conference and 8-0 in the tournament.
Still Rolling:
Since an 80-73 non-conference loss at Delta State
on January 3, 2003, the Gold Nuggets are 227-64 (.780).
