Next:
The Gold Nuggets await the start of the 2013 season in late August or early
September. It will be the sixth season of intercollegiate volleyball at Xavier.
The Record:
Xavier was 22-8 overall and 10-0 in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference in 2012. The Gold Nuggets won the GCAC
regular-season and tournament championships for the second consecutive season, and they
qualified for the NAIA National Championship for the second consecutive season.
Most Recently:
Georgetown (Ky.) defeated Xavier 23-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-20 in the 2012 NAIA National Championship Opening Round.

Hannah Lawing was promoted to head coach to replace Christabell Hamilton, who resigned after two seasons.

Xavier has yet to announce any signings for the 2013-14 academic year.
In 2011:
Xavier was 23-7 overall and 10-0 in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. The Gold Nuggets were
the GCAC regular-season and tournament champion. The Gold Nuggets set records in 2011
for victories, consecutive victories (8 — twice), home victories (8), conference victories,
victories on opponents' courts (6) and winning percentage (.767). Xavier was 11-26 overall and 3-3 in the
GCAC in 2010.

All-GCAC:
Earning that honor in 2012 were the Gold Nuggets' Moira Kirk, Franziska Pirkl
and Taylor Reuther on the first team and Jodi Chatters and Chinedu Echebelem on
the second team. Reuther was chosen GCAC Player of the Year, and Christabell Hamilton
was a repeat selection as GCAC Coach of the Year. story
A Proud Tradition:
Under Xavier's current head coaches (all sports), 116 of 121 senior student-athletes received degrees from Xavier or are still enrolled.
