Men's Basketball
(next game: 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at home vs. Spalding in adidas Hardwood Classic)

• The Gold Rush is 6-1, including three comeback victories from double-digit deficits.
• No. 10 in the NAIA Division I coaches poll and No. 7 in the Victory Sports Network rankings (www.victorysportsnetwork.com). Xavier is one of three Gulf Coast Athletic Conference teams in the Victory Sports Network top 16, joining No. 4 LSU-Shreveport and No. 16 William Carey. The GCAC is the only conference with three teams among the VSN's top 16.
• Senior guard Mark Stewart has made 221 career 3-point field goals and is threatening the Louisiana men's collegiate record of 256 set by Northeast Louisiana's Paul Marshall from 1994-96.
• Dannton Jackson needs three victories to become the fifth men's basketball coach to reach 100 victories at Xavier. He could get No. 100 as soon as Dec. 4, when the Gold Rush hosts Texas Wesleyan in the final game before Christmas. Jackson's winning percentage of .703 is the second highest in Gold Rush history.

Women's Basketball
(next game: 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29 at home vs. College of the Bahamas)

• The Gold Nuggets are 6-2, including two victories against NCAA Division I opponents: Northwestern State and Grambling.
• No. 26 in the NAIA Division I coaches poll.
• Bo Browder needs one victory to become the first women's basketball coach to reach 200 victories at Xavier. A victory against the College of Bahamas on Thursday also would make Browder the 10th women's coach in Louisiana to reach 200 victories, and he would have the third-highest winning percentage among those 10 coaches.
• Senior guard Jarryn Cleaves broke the Xavier women's career record for 3-point field goals made on Nov. 9 against Concordia (Ala.) and has 217.

Men's Cross Country
(next competition: August or September 2008)

• The Gold Rush repeated as GCAC champion.
• Xavier finished fourth out of 10 schools in the NAIA Region XIII meet.
• Freshmen David Salmon and Milo Barry finished 3-4 in the GCAC meet and were joined on the all-conference team by Darren Wallace and Joe Drexler-Dreis. Wallace was all-conference for the second consecutive year.
• Joseph Moses was GCAC Men's Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

Women's Cross Country
(next competition: August or September 2008)

• The Gold Nuggets repeated as GCAC champion.
• Xavier finished fourth out of 11 schools in the NAIA Region XIII meet and beat four teams which were ahead of the Nuggets in the premeet rankings.
• For the second consecutive year, Ebony Harding was GCAC runner-up and second-team All-Region XIII.
• Joining Harding on the all-conference team were Lonqiue Moore, Ashley Broden and Stacey Windon. Moore and Broden were All-GCAC for the third time. Windon is a freshman.
• Joseph Moses was GCAC Women's Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

Men's and Women's Tennis

• All home matches in 2008 will be played at the University of New Orleans Wow Cafe Tennis Center.
• 2008 men's spring schedule includes 10 teams ranked in the final 2007 NAIA top 25, including champion Auburn Montgomery, and three NCAA Division I opponents.
• 2008 women's spring schedule includes seven teams ranked in the final 2007 NAIA top 25, including champion Auburn Montgomery, and three NCAA Division I opponents.
