Jodi Chatters and Echebelem had six digs apiece for the Gold Nuggets.
Xavier scored the first nine points and 13 of the first 14. Kirk had three kills during a 9-2 run which erased Fisk's 9-8 lead in the middle set. The Gold Nuggets opened the final set with an 8-1 run and closed the match when Chatters' dig crossed the net and landed untouched.
Xavier will play city rival Loyola at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Convocation Center to conclude a 3-match home stand. The next conference match will be Sept. 28 at Edward Waters.
