ALMA MATER
In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

Simmons, a 6-foot-8 forward from Rochester, N.Y., and a

Jimmie Wilder, Juan Mercier, Derrick Collins and Merlin Peters — to be

this season and is XU's all-time leader with a .628 field-goal percentage.
Erves, a 6-7 senior forward from Vicksburg, Miss., and

He has four point-assist double-doubles and is the second player in Gold Rush
history to collect 450 points and 150 assists in the same season.
Philander Smith senior forward Alvin Nance was voted
Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Dillard forward Jarrain Jenkins
