Gold Rush to conduct tryouts Saturday at The Barn
April 27, 2011
NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana
will conduct men's basketball tryouts for the 2011-12 season on Saturday,
April 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Barn.
Participants must bring an academic transcript.
The tryout is open to current XU and junior-college students and to
12th-graders graduating in 2011.
Driving directions to The Barn, Xavier's gymnasium, can be found
online by using 3999 Short Street and the 70125 zip code.

Xavier was 27-6 in 2010-11, ranked 17th in the final
NAIA Division I poll and qualified for the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I National
Championship for the fifth time in seven seasons.

The Xavier Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets compete in Division I of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) as a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). Xavier fields men's teams
in basketball, cross country and tennis and women's teams in basketball, cross country, tennis and volleyball.
