XU's Giles-Osborn selected GCAC Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana
men's tennis standout Steffen Giles-Osborn is the Gulf Coast Athletic
Conference Player of the Week for Feb. 14-20.
Giles-Osborn, a junior from Atlanta
and a graduate of Westlake High School, was 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in
doubles to help the Gold Rush defeat Martin Methodist and Tennessee State
on the road. He dropped a combined two games in singles.
Giles-Osborn is 6-6 in singles and 7-6 in doubles
in 2010-11 and nationally ranked 24th in singles by the Intercollegiate Tennis
Association. He has won five of his last six singles matches and won
five of his last eight in doubles with Sean Richardson.
The Gold Rush are 7-2 and ranked 14th in the NAIA.
