XU announces schedule changes for volleyball, basketball

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana
announced on Wednesday changes in its schedules for women's volleyball,
men's basketball and women's basketball.
In women's volleyball, Xavier dropped its Oct.
31 road matches against Clark Atlanta and Spelman. A home match against
Loyola was moved to Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at The Barn.
Tip-off times Nov. 20 for the Xavier-Philander Smith
basketball doubleheader at The Barn — part of the university's homecoming
activities — were moved up two hours. The women's game will start at noon,
and the men's game will follow at 2 p.m.

The Xavier Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets compete in Division I of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) as a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). Xavier fields men's
teams in basketball, cross country and tennis and women's teams in basketball, cross country, tennis and volleyball.
