XU's Rahbar eliminated in UL Invitational semifinals

LAFAYETTE, La. — Xavier University of Louisiana
freshman Amir Rahbar lost 7-6, 6-4 Saturday to Louisiana-Lafayette's Brandon
Farine in the C-flight semifinals of the UL Invitational men's tennis tournament.
In the consolation draw, Tulane's Shayne Wali defeated
Xavier's Steffen Giles-Osborn 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 in the A-flight, and UL Lafayette's
Ted Nilsson beat XU's Sean Richardson 6-4, 6-2 in the B-flight.
Xavier's next event will be the HBCU National
Championships in Atlanta beginning Thursday.

The Xavier Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets compete in Division I of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) as a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). Xavier fields men's teams
in basketball, cross country and tennis and women's teams in basketball, cross country, tennis and volleyball.
