NEW ORLEANS — Al'lisa Hale, first-year women's
volleyball coach at Xavier University of Louisiana, announced Wednesday 10

from Brno, Czech Republic, SG Ludvika Danka and New Mexico Military Institute.
• Kerris Crier, a 5-8½ middle blocker/outside hitter
from Houston and Westfield High School.
• Allison Dawson, a 6-foot middle blocker
from Houston and Dekaney High School.
• Danielle Jones, a 5-9 outside hitter
from Baton Rouge, La., and Episcopal High School.
• Joyy Joseph, a 5-2 defensive specialist
from Donaldsonville, La., and Ascension Catholic High School.

Jones — who played basketball for Xavier the
past three seasons — and Vincent will be seniors. Bobkova, Joseph, Poe
and Souza will be juniors, and Crier, Dawson, Lyons and Williams will be freshmen.
This will be XU's third season of intercollegiate
volleyball. The university fielded teams in 2003 and 2004, then suspended the
program in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Gold Nuggets, who
compete in the NAIA and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, will begin their regular season in
late August.
