ALMA MATER
In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

Houston standout signs with Gold Rush
April 14, 2010
NEW ORLEANS — Amir Rahbar of Houston has signed
a men's tennis scholarship with Xavier University of Louisiana.
Rahbar, a right-hander and a TennisRecruiting.net
three-star recruit, was a combined 32-2 in singles and doubles for Memorial
High School during the fall to help the Mustangs win the Region III-5A
championship and reach the Class 5A semifinals in November. The Mustangs
were unbeaten during the 2008 regular season.
Rahbar reached the championship match in five amateur
tournaments in 2009 and won once. He moved to Houston for 11th grade after
helping Okemos High School in Lansing, Mich., win the Lower Peninsula Division
2 state championship his freshman year.
Xavier is ranked 16th in the NAIA and must replace
seniors Cameron Knowles and Mario Myles from this year's team. Rahbar is the
first to sign with the Gold Rush for next season.
