No. 2 AUM ends winning streak of No. 14 Xavier

MANDEVILLE, La. — NAIA No. 2 Auburn Montgomery
defeated 14th-ranked Xavier University of Louisiana 9-0 Friday in men's tennis
to snap the seven-match win streak of the Gold Rush.
Xavier is 7-2, and AUM is 6-0.
Michael Johnson, No. 6 in the Intercollegiate Tennis
Association's NAIA preseason singles rankings, defeated Xavier's Hassan Abbas 6-0,
6-1 to end Abbas' 13-match win streak. Loic Didavi, ranked 46th, clinched the dual
with his 6-2, 6-1 victory over Mario Myles.
Xavier's next match will start at 4 p.m. Wednesday
against Lamar at the University of New Orleans Tennis Center.
