In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

NEW ORLEANS — Jazmoné Kelly scored 13 points
Saturday, and Danielle Jones added a season-high 11 to lead NAIA No. 23 Xavier
University of New Orleans to a 69-40 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference women's

The victory gives the Gold Nuggets (16-5 overall, 9-0
GCAC) their first nine-game winning streak since the 2004-05 season.
Brittany Powell had 10 points and eight rebounds for
Xavier, which led 30-14 at halftime and by as many as 35 points in the second
half. Kelly and Jones combined for 19 points after halftime.
Jessica Small led Dillard (8-11, 1-8) with seven points.
The Lady Bleu Devils shot 22 percent from the floor and committed 30 turnovers in
their biggest loss of the season.
The Gold Nuggets produced 20 steals, with Jasmine Grant
collecting five to tie her career high.
Xavier recorded its biggest winning margin in this
intracity series since February 1996. The Nuggets lead the series 51-19 and have

Dillard has lost six in a row and 10 of 12 after a
6-0 start.
Both teams will begin the second half of their GCAC
