In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

January 28, 2010
Box score
NEW ORLEANS — Devin Andrew scored 18 points
Thursday and rallied Xavier University of Louisiana in the second half to
a 75-68 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference men's basketball victory over NAIA
No. 12 Belhaven.
Andrew scored 10 points in the final nine minutes,
and Michael Harvey and Wanto Joseph added eight apiece during the comeback to
help the Gold Rush (11-9 overall, 2-6 GCAC) snap a three-game losing streak
and earn its second victory of the season against a ranked opponent.
Harvey had 17 points and a career-best 10 rebounds
for his first collegiate double-double, and Joseph and Cordell Hadnot finished
with 10 points apiece.
Larell Bailey scored 19 points, Rob Wallace 17 and
Krayleon Winston 12 for Belhaven (17-3, 7-1), which shares first place in the
GCAC with LSU-Shreveport, a 70-66 winner at Dillard.
Xavier won at The Barn for the first time since Dec. 4.
The Rush had lost three straight at home before Thursday, all GCAC games
in which it led at halftime.
