XU's Richardson, Broussard are ITA Scholar-Athletes

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's
Terry Richardson and Alexandra Broussard have been named Intercollegiate Tennis
Association Scholar-Athletes for 2009.
They qualified as varsity letterwinners with a
minimum 3.50 grade-point average for the 2008-09 academic year.
Richardson is from Ellenwood, Ga., and Stockbridge High
School, and Broussard is from Columbus, Ohio, and Bishop Watterson High School.
Both completed their eligiblity at Xavier this past season, and both received
bachelor's degrees.
Richardson is a two-time Gulf Coast Athletic Conference
Player of the Year and was an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 first-team
member in 2009. Both he and Broussard are three-time Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars,
and Broussard was on the first team in '09 and '08.
