ALMA MATER
In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

Richardson, Green are second-team NAIA All-America
May 16, 2009
NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana
seniors Terry Richardson and Mike Green were second-team selections on the 2009
NAIA Men's Tennis All-America Teams announced Saturday.
They are Xavier's second and third men's tennis
All-Americans of the modern era. Miroslav Vukicevic made the second team in 2008.
Richardson, from Ellenwood, Ga., and Stockbridge
High School, was 17-8 in singles and 18-6 doubles and was the Gulf Coast Athletic
Conference Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons. He was 16th
in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association/NAIA singles rankings.
Green, from Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Barnabas Christian
Academy, was 8-8 in singles and 10-7 in doubles. He was All-Gulf Coast Athletic
Conference in singles and doubles and was 32nd in ITA/NAIA singles rankings.
Green teamed with freshman Steffen Giles-Osborn to earn Xavier's first ITA
ranking in men's doubles.
Xavier was 17-7 this season, winning the GCAC
Tournament for the fourth consecutive time in five years, tying a school
record for victories and reaching the second round in the Gold Rush's first
appearance at the NAIA National Championship.
