Gold Nuggets to conduct tryouts for 2009-10 season
March 19, 2009
NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana
will conduct women's basketball tryouts next week for females graduating
high school in the spring of 2009.
Tryouts will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March
26 and from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27 at The Barn, Xavier's campus gymnasium.
There is no charge to attend or participate in the tryout.

Xavier has a rich tradition in women's basketball which includes:
• 13 appearances in the NAIA Division I National
Championship the past 15 seasons.
• A 216-15 record at The Barn the past 17 seasons.
• 11 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference regular-season
championships and 10 GCAC tournament championships.
• 16 20-game winners the past 17 seasons.
