Rain postpones Xavier at Auburn Montgomery Invitational
March 14, 2009
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Rain postponed Xavier
University of Louisiana's men's and women's tennis matches Saturday against
Oklahoma Christian in the Auburn Montgomery Invitational.
The duals, the final ones of the all-NAIA event,
were rescheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday at Lagoon Park Tennis Center. The rainout
is the first this season for the Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets.
Xavier's women, 11-4 and ranked 17th, will try for
their third consecutive victory against a ranked opponent.
Oklahoma Christian (6-2) is tied for 18th.
There will be ranked teams in the men's dual too.
Xavier (10-4) is 14th, and OCU (5-7) is 19th.
