Xavier sweeps cross country team titles

Women
IRVING, Texas — Xavier University of Louisiana won the men's and women's team
titles Saturday at the University of Dallas Invitational cross country meet.
XU freshman Ray Walston ran 8,000 meters in 28 minutes, 41.17 seconds to win the
men's race. The Gold Nuggets' Ebony Harding finished second in the women's division and set a
school record of 24:41.13 for 6,000 meters.
Harding broke Katrina Davis' 2001 school record of 24:47.2, also set in this meet.
Harding broke her XU record for 5,000 meters three weeks earlier.
Xavier led the men's division with 29 points and the women's division with 28.
Darren Wallace (29:52.66) finished second and Joe Drexler-Dreis (30:48.80)
fifth for the Gold Rush. In the women's race Xavier's Anna D'Souza (26:53.39) was fifth, and
Ashley Taylor (27:42.10) as sixth.
Xavier will compete next Saturday in the Choctaw Open at Clinton,
Miss.
