Gold Nuggets offer tryouts for 2008-09 basketball season

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana will conduct walk-on tryouts for the
2008-09 women's basketball season from 5:45-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at The Barn.

Xavier, an NAIA Division I school, was 27-7 in 2007-08, finished second in the Gulf
Coast Athletic Conference and won 65-64 at Loyola in GCAC Tournament championship game.
The Gold Nuggets qualified for the NAIA Division I National Championship for a school-record
seventh consecutive time and the 13th time in 14 seasons.
