ALMA MATER
In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

Dumas earns honorable mention on NAIA All-America team
March 25, 2008
NEW ORLEANS — Point guard Shaun Dumas of Xavier University of Louisiana
earned honorable mention on the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball All-America
team announced Tuesday.
Dumas, a 5-foot-11 junior from New Orleans and a 2004 graduate of St.
Augustine High School, averaged 10.5 points, three rebounds, 4.6 assists and
2.4 steals this season. He helped the Gold Rush go 24-10 and qualify for the
NAIA national tournament for a school-record fourth consecutive time.
Dumas, a third-team All-American as a sophomore, has led the Gulf Coast
Athletic Conference in steals all three of his seasons at Xavier. He scored
a season-high 27 points Thursday in the Gold Rush's 76-69 loss to California
Baptist in the national tournament at Kansas City, Mo.
He is the second Gold Rush player to earn multiple All-America recognition,
joining Bruce Seals (honorable mention in 1971-72, first team in 1972-73).
