Rush, Nuggets extend win streaks to five

JACKSON, Miss. — Xavier University of Louisiana's men's and women's tennis teams
earned victories Sunday against NCAA Division I opponent Prairie View A&M.
The Gold Rush (6-5), ranked 24th in the NAIA, defeated the Panthers 5-1 to
move above .500 for the first time this season. The Gold Nuggets (7-4), ranked 23rd,
won 4-0.
Both Xavier teams have five-match winning streaks.
Yuliem Dominguez clinched the women's victory by winning the final 11 games of a
6-4, 6-0 decision against Jessica Aguilar at No. 3 singles. In the men's match Mario
Myles clinched the Rush's victory by beating Jeremy Hubb 7-5 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
