Xavier, Southern move tennis duals to noon Sunday

NEW ORLEANS — Because of expected rain on Saturday, Xavier University of
Louisiana and Southern University have pushed back their men's and women's
tennis dual matches.
Alan Green, Xavier's men's and women's coach, announced the change Friday morning.
Instead of playing at 11 a.m. Saturday, Xavier and Southern will play at noon
Sunday at the University of New Orleans Wow Café Tennis Center.
The Weather Channel's online forecast calls for a 70-percent chance of showers
Saturday morning. The Sunday prediction is for sunny skies and a high of 59 degrees.
The matches will be the first duals of the spring semester for Southern. Xavier's
men lost 5-4, and the women lost 6-3 to Nicholls State on Monday at UNO in their first duals.
