Nuggets tied for 21st in NAIA rankings
For immediate release . . . December 5, 2007

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana is tied for 21st in the NAIA Division I women's basketball rankings announced Wednesday.

This is the first poll since the preseason, when the Gold Nuggets collected 64 points and missed the top 25 by three points. This time Xavier collected 96 points and tied for 21st with Westminster (Utah), which defeated the Nuggets a year ago.

Xavier's resumé this season includes an 8-2 record and victories against NCAA Division I opponents Northwestern State and Grambling. The Nuggets are 7-0 at home.

Xavier will play next on Dec. 18 against Sterling in the Cruzin Classic at Coral Springs, Fla. Xavier's next home game will be Jan. 10 against SUNO. The next two NAIA rankings will be announced Dec. 12 and Jan. 9.
