Robert Morris beats Texas College by 34 in Xavier Classic

NEW ORLEANS — Chanel Jones-Delas scored eight of her 19 points during a
decisiive second-half run Friday to lead Robert Morris (Chicago) to a 79-45
women's basketball victory in the
Xavier Classic at The Barn.
Jessica Harris added 14 points and Janesha Washington 12 for Robert Morris
(3-2), which was 1-1 in this event.
Robert Morris led 35-25 at halftime, then outscored Texas College 25-2
in the first seven minutes of the second half. Jones-Delas capped the run with a
basket to give the Lady Eagles a 60-27 lead with 13:26 remaining.
Erica Delley had 21 points and nine rebounds for Texas College (0-7), and
Rachal Kirkling had 10 points and eight rebounds. The Lady Steers were 0-2 in this event.
Robert Morris outshot the Lady Steers 45 to 26 percent from the floor and outrebounded them
48-37. Texas College committed 26 turnovers, 10 more than the Lady Eagles.
