Gold Rush runs season record to 23-3

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Xavier University's men's cross country team
improved its season record to 23-3 with a third-place finish out of 13
teams Saturday in the Embry-Riddle/Smoothie King Invitational.
The Gold Rush, led by freshman Milo Barry's 17th-place finish in a field of 111,
scored 119 points to finish behind NAIA 15th-ranked Embry-Riddle (21) and
Florida Tech (100). Barry ran 8,000 meters in 29 minutes, 22.82 seconds.
This was the fourth meet of the season for the Rush, which was 23-39 in seven meets in 2006.
Xavier's women scored 181 points and finished eighth out of 12 teams. The Gold Nuggets'
Ebony Harding ran 5,000 meters in 22:07.94 and placed 15th out of 95 runners.
