XU to conduct 2 days of women's basketball tryouts
For immediate release . . . August 28, 2007
NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana will conduct walk-on tryouts for the
2007-08 women's basketball season on consecutive days next week at The Barn.
Prospects must attend both tryouts, which will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5
and Thursday, Sept. 6.

Xavier was 23-12 this past season, finished second in the Gulf Coast Athletic
Conference and qualified for the NAIA Division I Tournament for a school-record-tying
sixth consecutive time. Eight letterwinners return, including
senior guard Jarryn Cleaves, an honorable-mention NAIA All-American and a third-team All-Louisiana
selection this past season.
