ALMA MATER
In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

NEW ORLEANS — Jarryn Cleaves, a junior on the Xavier University of Louisiana women's
basketball team, earned honorable mention on the NAIA Division I All-America team
announced Tuesday.
Cleaves, a 5-foot-8 guard from Memphis, Tenn., and a 2003 graduate of East High School, led
Xavier with a 14.1 scoring average, set a school season record with 88 3-pointers
and helped the Gold Nuggets (23-12) reach the NAIA National Tournament for the 12th

Cleaves is a three-time All-Gulf Coast Athletic Conference selection.
She has 1,258 career points, and Xavier is 79-23 during her tenure.
