Saturday tennis matches postponed
For immediate release . . . February 23, 2007
NEW ORLEANS — The threat of bad weather in Jackson, Miss., has postponed
Xavier University of Louisiana's Saturday trip for Gulf Coast Athletic
Conference men's and women's tennis matches at Tougaloo and Belhaven.
According to The Weather Channel, Saturday's forecast for Jackson calls for
scattered thunderstorms in the morning and strong thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Chance of rain is 70 percent.
No makeup date for these matches has been determined.
The next matches for Xavier's men and women will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3
against Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La. Xavier's women are 6-0 and ranked 12th
in the NAIA, and the men are 5-2.
