In the Mississippi Valley,
In the Crescent Bend
Stands our loved and noble Xavier,
Far her praises send.
Refrain:
Wave her colors bear them onward
Gold and white so true
Hail to thee, all hail, dear Xavier
Hail, all hail, X.U.!
Xavier, ever be our guide
And lead us on the way,
Through life's journey, onward, upward
To the eternal day. (Refrain)

Turnbull leads Xavier past Clark Atlanta
For immediate release . . . December 4, 2006
Box Score
ATLANTA — Erica Turnbull had 16 points and nine rebounds Monday to
lead Xavier University of Louisiana to a 75-64 women's basketball victory against Clark
Atlanta.
Turnbull was limited to 19 minutes because of foul trouble but had nine
points and five rebounds to help the Gold Nuggets (7-3) build a 36-24
halftime lead.
Dominee Matthews, with 10 points, was Xavier's only other double-figure
scorer. Jarryn Cleaves and Brittany Whitmore had nine points each.
Prinsha Williams led Clark Atlanta (2-4) with 21 points and 13
rebounds.
Both teams shot around 40 percent from the floor, but Xavier
outrebounded the Lady Panthers 45-36. Xavier committed 25 turnovers but gained
31, including 19 steals. The Nuggets' Tiffany Norris, Carla Robinson and
Alissa Thompson each had four steals.
"We did a good job inside and a better job attacking the basket,"
Xavier Coach Robert "Bo" Browder said. "We didn't have the long offensive
droughts we had our last two games. We're getting better game by game."
Xavier's next game will start at 6 p.m. Saturday at Central Arkansas.
The Nuggets' next home game will start at 5 p.m. Jan. 6 against Mobile.
