NEW ORLEANS — Joseph Moses and Ebony Harding are Xavier University of Louisiana's representatives on the 2006 All-Louisiana Cross Country Team.

Moses, who led the Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets to Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championships in October, was chosen men's and women's Coach of the Year by a Louisiana Sports Writers Association panel. Harding, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, La., made the seven-member women's team and was chosen women's Newcomer of the Year.

Under Moses' direction, Xavier's men won their first GCAC cross-country title.

Harding, who also was All-GCAC and second-team All-NAIA Region XIII, was the Gold Nuggets' fastest finsher in all seven races this year. Harding finished second in the GCAC meet and helped the Nuggets win their first GCAC championship since 2002. Her best time for 5,000 meters was 20 minutes, 48.33 seconds at the NAIA Region XIII Championships, where she finished 13th.
