Dumas makes preseason all-GCAC team

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's Shaun Dumas was chosen to the preseason all-Gulf Coast Athletic Conference team by the league's head coaches.
Dumas, a sophomore guard from New Orleans, averaged 6.7 points per game, led the conference in steals and was selected GCAC Freshman of the Year in 2004-05.
Xavier will visit Arkansas for a 7:05 p.m. exhibition game Tuesday, then open the regular season at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 against Texas College in The Barn.
