2010-11 Highlights

27-6 overall, 4-2 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference
• Reached 20 victories for the sixth time in eight seasons and the 26th time overall to extend its Louisiana men's basketball record
• Reached 25 victories for the first time since 1983-84 and the fifth time in the program's history
• Won 27 games for the first time since 1983-84
• Tied a school record with its 11th consecutive winning season
• Extended a school record with its 20th consecutive non-losing season
• Qualified for the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I National Championship for the fifth time in seven seasons
• Ranked in every NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 this season, with a high of ninth on Dec. 13 and a final rank of 17th on March 9
• 13-0 start for the first time since the 1940-41 season
• Also produced a nine-game win streak covering January and February
• Won 20 of last 21 games at The Barn
• Including a 4-1 finish last season, Xavier has won 31 of its last 38 games
• 37-1 in non-conference home games during the last four seasons and won the last 18 in a row
• Won 72-58 at Southern on Dec. 20 — Xavier's first regular-season victory against an NCAA Division I opponent since 2000
• Won 77-67 at home against NAIA No. 21 Tougaloo on Jan. 22
• 5-2 in games decided by three or fewer points
• Won its season opener for the 15th consecutive time
• Attempted a school-record 50 free throws (made 34) in a 96-65 home victory against Jarvis Christian on Nov. 18
• Allowed less than 70 points in 17 consecutive games (Nov. 27-Jan. 29) — XU's longest sub-70 defensive streak in one season since 1950-51
• Team statistical rankings in NAIA Division I include No. 4 in field-goal percentage defense (.376), No. 5 in scoring defense (61.9),
No. 12 in rebound margin (+6.6), No. 13 in field-goal percentage (.476) and No. 15 in free-throw percentage (.716)
• Individual statistical rankings in NAIA Division I include Chris Iles No. 11 in assists per game (5.0)
and No. 17 in free-throw percentage (.833)
