A message from Athletics Director Dennis S. Cousin
Fall 2010
Dear Prospective Booster:

The top priority of the Xavier University of Louisiana Athletics Department is to provide the best academic and athletic opportunities for our student-athletes and maintain the high standards of excellence associated with Xavier University. XU's official booster club promotes and encourages interest in the athletics program at Xavier University.

    Dennis Cousin
We are proud of our recent accomplishments, which include:
     •  Winning 23 conference championships and qualifying for 17 NAIA national tournaments during the last five years.
     •  Ranking seventh nationally on the 2009-10 NAIA Champions of Character Scorecard. Xavier's point total ranked first in Louisiana, first among Catholic universities, first among HBCUs and second in the South.
     •  92 of 98 senior student-athletes receiving degrees from Xavier or are enrolled under Xavier's current head coaches.
We are equally excited about the 2010-11 athletics year. Women's volleyball returned to intercollegiate competition this fall after a five-year absence and closed the season with a program-record win streak. Our men's and women's cross country teams were primed to win their fifth consecutive conference team championships, and our men's and women's basketball teams are both ranked in the NAIA Division I Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Polls. Our women's tennis program has been ranked in every NAIA top 25 since 2004, and our men's tennis program's ranking streak dates to 2007.
Your new contribution or renewal in the Xavier Athletics Booster Club will help our department remain competitive regionally and nationally. Over the years, XU boosters have provided for equipment, travel expenses, operational costs and other needs for all sports teams which have requested assistance. Your financial contribution will aid in the success of nearly 75 student-athletes and help us continue Xavier's winning tradition.
Your contribution of $125.00 per year (minimum) is greatly appreciated by the Xavier University Athletics Department. Please make your check payable to Xavier University Athletics Boosters, and address it to:

     Sincerely,
