The primary focus of my work is graphic information design which fosters
physical and cognitive accessibility within our environments, both built and social.
These foci are driven by my belief that design and science can catalyze as paradigm
change agents to creatively address human needs. This alliance of foci has resulted
in my development and publication of national standards for ADA compliance,
symbol design, symbol comprehension testing protocol as well as implementation
guidelines for individual corporate accessibility manuals and senior faculties.
My current research projects explore ballot design, adoption promotion, medical
information packaging design and the documentation of social discourse.
